Safety checks are conducted during each official break period (Thanksgiving, semester and spring break). The building staff, with one person serving as a witness, will go through each room and note violations. Residents will be subject to a fine and/or disciplinary action if violations exist. Safety checks also may occur if University staff has reason to believe a resident is a threat to him/herself or the community.
